SpiderOak CrossClave can connect to either SpiderOak’s default back end (which is offered as a Software as a Service (SaaS) product), or a back end hosted locally (also known as on-prem.) All users install and use the same SpiderOak CrossClave application regardless of whether they connect to a locally or remotely hosted back end. However, user accounts must be hosted on the same backed as the team the user wishes to join, therefore, teams are assigned URLs that point to the correct back end. The Team Join URL will also be used for joining the correct team. This is defaulted to the SaaS join URL and generally doesn't need to be changed unless you are attempting to join a unique setup. The team owner should send you that information when inviting you to the team if you need to input a unique team-join URL.
In the event you do need to enter a unique team-join URL, simply select the 'Show advanced settings' option above the invite code field to expand the 'Host Name' field.
Where do I get a Team Join URL from?
The administrator of your team’s account should provide you with the Team Join URL as part of the setup process. It’s possible your admin will call the Team Join URL by a different name like Host URL.
Alternatively if your team admin sent you a QR code you can select the QR code scanner option below the empty field and scan the code to automatically enter the team join URL and your invite code that was generated for you.
